We Americans take pride in our freedom, but how can we be truly free when plagued by discomfort and disease.
Much of this disease is stress related. This stress may be caused by a poor choice in diet. Stress of this type can be reduced or totally eliminated. With just a simple change in our eating habit, or by simply adding a dietary supplement daily, we can change the way we feel.
Dietary related diseases may be the result of a nutritional deficiency and can jeopardize your health.  A natural food supplement could be just what you need to feel better. Maca may be just the superfood you need. Maca (Lepidium Pervianum), has 20 of the 21 naturally occurring amino acids. Just think, by adding maca (Lepidium Peruvianum) with its 20 amino acids to your present diet you may find yourself saying,   "I have never felt better in my life."

Diet (nutrition) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Nutrition (also called nourishment or aliment) is the provision, to cells and organisms, of the materials necessary (in the form of food) to support life. Many common health problems can be prevented or alleviated with a healthy diet.

The diet of an organism refers to what it eats. Dietitians are health professionals who specialize in human nutrition, meal planning, economics, preparation, and so on. They are trained to provide safe, evidence-based dietary advice and management to individuals (in health and disease), as well as to institutions.

Poor diet can have an injurious impact on health, causing deficiency diseases such as scurvy, beriberi, and kwashiorkor; health-threatening conditions like obesity and metabolic syndrome, and such common chronic systemic diseases as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis.

Diet is the sum of food consumed by a person or other organism. Dietary habits are the habitual decisions an individual or culture makes when choosing what foods to eat. Although humans are omnivores, each culture holds some food preferences and some food taboos. Individual dietary choices may be more or less healthy. Proper nutrition requires the proper ingestion and equally important, the absorption of vitamins, minerals, and fuel in the form of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Dietary habits and choices play a significant role in health and mortality, and can also define cultures and play a role in religion.

The solution is quite obvious; we must first recognize the problem, then we can solve it. We have all heard of vitamin, mineral, and protein deficiencies. Can a deficiency of vitamins, amino acids or minerals, affect our response to stress?
The answer to this questions is yes; and that means,
a nutritional deficiency may lead to stress related
disease.

Minerals are most easily assimilated when obtained in natural foods. Essential nutrients, including, minerals, and amino acids must be present in your diet to maintain optimum health. These nutriments are essential for optimum health and must be included in your daily meals, or they may be added to your diet in the form of a natural dietary supplement .
A deficiency in vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients can jeopardize your health, and lead to a premature death.

One alternative could be a change in your eating practice entirely; the other is to simply include these essential vitamins, minerals, and amino acids in your present diet to maintain your health. What about supplements? Vitamin and mineral supplements can be expensive and are often ineffective.

Maca is a natural dietary supplement, and is neither expensive or ineffective. When purchased in quantity, maca can
be quite reasonable and it's effect can be experienced immediately. Maca has been food for indigenous people for thousands of years, and has sustained life at altitudes
exceeding 14,000 feet.                                 And now it's available to you.
With the addition of maca to your present meals, your body will be provided with the nutrition you need and you may find yourself saying,   "I have never felt better in my life."

"Maca has been harvested and used by humans in the
Andean Mountains for centuries. It was eaten by Inca warriors before battles, and was used a form of payment of Spanish imperial Taxes.
In
Peru, maca is prepared and consumed in several ways. The hypocotyl can be roasted in a pit (called matia). The root can also be mashed and boiled to produce a sweet, thick liquid, dried and mixed with milk to form a porridge or with other vegetables or grains to produce a flour that can be used in baking. If fermented, a weak beer called chicha de maca can be produced. The leaves can also be prepared raw in salads or cooked much like Lepidium sativum and Lepidium campestre, to which it is genetically closely ."

What Maca has done for me.
Maca has given me the nutrition that I need and eliminates my cravings; and  I find that I only require one meal per day, my dinner.  I also find that I maintain a thinner body as a result .
Oh, I forgot to mention that I haven't had a cold in years.

I like my Maca with almond, soy, or rice milk. I find that by mixing the roasted powder in water first with a sweetner it makes it much easier to add to my favorite beverage. We have a honey bear container filled with maca syrup always in the kitchen. It can be taken also on the road and to the job site as well.

How to make the most out of maca.
I have used lepidium peruvianum ( Maca) for over seven years.  I use the roasted maca powder and like it with water and  half milk. I use three teaspoons of brown sugar to sweeten it.
